Alana’s Overview
This Gastro pub has a simple menu offering hearty food, perfect in accompanying few drinks. I went for the Angus burger with bacon & cheese, which comes with chips and onion rings; I was unable to finish the monster dinner. However, I did funnily enough have space for dessert & ordered the sticky toffee pudding. Its lively and very busy on a weekend night so booking a table would be advisable. I spoke with the chef Rafael, who is of Italian origin but has lived a lot of his life in Germany. He has worked with the likes of Jamie Oliver & has been of service in the opening of Gordon Ramsey’s many restaurant branches [8 to be precise]. He hopes to submit a menu to The Alma, better showcasing the food he has to offer Crystal Palace & its visitors. He also happens to be looking for trainee chefs so if anyone is interested, contact him!
